Greyed out "Copy to" in User Profiles

I need to copy one of the Administrator Profiles to another User with Admin privileges. I have created two additional Users with Admin privileges (Original - Temp - Clyde), logged into the TEMP one and tried to copy the Original Admin user to the New User, but both are Greyed Out. I tried a number of after market ENABLERS, but none work in Windows 8 but they do work in Windows 7.

HELP PLEASE!

Hi

It is possibly because it is the administrator account.

You could try the "windows enabler" third party tool.

I said I had ALREADY tried 4 or 5 ENABLERS and NONE WORKED.

I even logged in a the Clyde User and except for the DEFAULT profile, ALL "Copy to" are Greyed Out.

I even logged in a the Original User and except for the DEFAULT profile, ALL "Copy to" are Greyed Out.

Where is the "Unmark as Answered" ? ? ?

Hi,

According to another thread reply with similar problem, this should be by-design in Windows:

I would like to confirm that if there is no Copy To available for the non-default profiles and it is just able to use the Copy To button for the default profile.

If this is the case, it is by-design in Win 7. Copying non-default profiles caused problems with the registry as artifacts from the base profile would be brought into the location it was being copied to. The only profile that may be copied in Win 7 is the Default profile since it avoids these problems with the registry.

You can refer to these two link below for more information about this problem:

If you do need to migrate your User Profile, you can try to USMT to complete this job:

AGAIN, you didn't READ the question before you commented.

I don't care about Windows 7 (I already have a fix for the Greyed Out "Copy To" in 7).

I need a FIX for Windows 8 / 8.1 ! DUH ! ! !

No one cares what MS did by design, we are trying to OVERRULE what Bill wants and use what WE want.

I have thirty (30) years at working on IBM based computers and will eventually figure it out.

I was really hoping for someone to know a workaround for the Greyed Out "Copy To".

I have FAITH that their is a Genius among us and he/she will HELP!
